Based in Poole, Dorset, Bowman Electrical have a passion for eco-friendly electrics. Our specialty is fitting home electric vehicle (EV) chargers though we will undertake any electrical work from fitting a light (LED's, of course) to whole home re-wires. We can also service solar PV systems. Our aim is to help you reduce your carbon footprint.

The government currently provide a grant of £350 towards the costs of EV charger installation. In April 2022 the scheme will be expanding to make many more homes eligible for the grant. Currently only freehold homeowners purchasing an electric car can apply for the grant but this will be expanded to include leaseholders, holiday let owners and small business owners among others, with or without an electric car purchase. The stipulation is that in order to claim the grant you must use an OLEV registered electrician. We are OLEV registered and can tell you whether you meet the requirements and furthermore, can apply for the grant on your behalf meaning no extra paperwork!
